Accreditation provides an independent, third-party assessment using standards built upon best practices used and validated by organizations around the world.
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation is an ongoing process of assessing health and social services organizations against standards of excellence to identify what is being done well and what needs to be improved.
It involves all members of our organization, from our board of directors to frontline staff as well as members of the community including patients and families and our community partners. It allows us to understand how to make better use of our resources, increase efficiency, enhance quality and safety, and reduce risk.
Who benefits from accreditation?
What does being accredited mean?
When you see the Accreditation Canada seal, you can be certain that the health care organization is working hard to meet standards to deliver safe, high-quality care. We do so because better quality means better health.
Dania is one of a few care facilities in Canada to have earned Accreditation with Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada for 2014 - 2018. Accreditation Canada certifies that Dania and its contractors meet the national standards of quality for health services set by the Council.
